ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court of Pakistan reserved its decision pertaining to the Zainab rape-and-murder case on Thursday which will be announced by the apex court on February 17.
According to details, the Zainab murder-and-rape case trial has concluded. As many as 33 witnesses have recorded their statements.
Suspect Imran Ali has already confessed to his crime. The seven-year-old child was found dead in a trash heap in Kasur as police claimed that the child’s neighbour has confessed to raping and killing her.
Police said that his DNA matched with the samples collected, adding that he confessed to the crime during interrogation. Police said the suspect, who is said to be 23 years old, was familiar with Zainab’s family and would also frequent the minor girl’s house. He is a resident of Kot Road, where Zainab also lived in.
