Accountability Court indicts Sharjeel Memon in corruption case

KARACHI: Former Sindh information minister Sharjeel Inam Memon has been indicted along with other accused in a case of corruption worth millions of rupees in Sindh Information Department.

Pakistan People’s Party leader Sharjeel and others accused in corruption case were charge-sheeted by Accountability Court in closed door proceedings.

The accused pleaded not guilty. The court summoned the witnesses in the next hearing.

The other accused include former Secretary Information Zulfiqar Shalwani, Yousuf Kaboro, Inam Akbar, Syed Mansoor Hashmi, Altaf Hussain Memon, Umar Shehzad Khan, Syed Naveed, and Syed Masood Hashmi.
