ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court Tuesday adjourned plea in-connection with missing persons for three weeks while Commission of Inquiry on Enforced Disappearances submitted its report.
Justice Ejaz Afzal Khan while heading three member bench, remarked that doors of the courts would be opened for missing persons, if commission would not perform its duty then judiciary would take notice.
According to the report submitted before the bench, 3076 cases were disposed off from all registered 4608 cases however 1533 cases of missing persons were under proceedings yet.
Protection orders of missing Mudasar Iqbal, Gul Moid Khan, Naveedur Rahman and Abdur Rehman had been issued the report maintained.
The bench remarked that “commission should look into all cases in depth and solve the issues of applicants”.
Meanwhile, federation had also submitted a report regarding missing Masood Janjua and Ahmed Faraz.
