ISLAMABAD: Air Chief Marshal Sohail Aman said on Thursday that if an American drone was to enter Pakistan's airspace, it would be shot down.

In his address at the Air University, Sohail Aman said that Pakistan would shoot down an American drone if it ventured into its own airspace. However, he said that a military confrontation with the United States was not in the interest of Pakistan.

"You cannot impose the democracy of your choosing on any country," he said. "We are making weapons of our own after not getting them from the United States," he added. He further said that Pakistan was making fighter jets that could function without pilots.

Air Chief Marshal Sohail Aman said that Pakistan Air Force's professional capabilities were acknowledged in India as well.
