THATTA: The death toll from a capsized boat off Mirpur Sakro coast rose to 16 while 47 people were rescued by divers.
At least fifty people, including women and children, drowned on Thursday when their boat capsized in Arabian Sea in Thatta district of Sindh.
The incident occurred near Mirpur Sakro area in the coastal belt of Sindh where a boat carrying at least 70 pilgrims overturned in the sea.
Search is underway for the missing, according to rescue officials.
Ambulances of Edhi and other charity organizations were dispatched from Karachi. - Samaa
