Peshawar Police arrest nine suspects

PESHAWAR: In a joint search operation by the police and officials of the security forces have arrested nine suspects from various localities of the provincial capital Peshawar, an official of the police station Badhber confirmed.

The search and strike operation was carried out in a bid to maintain peace and all the nine suspects were shifted to a police station for questioning. The operation started in the mid-night and was launched after the security forces received a tip-off about the presence of suspects in the area.

According to detail, the operation was carried out in Badhber, Telaband and other areas outside the provincial capital. The arms of different types including three pistols, 8mm rifles, 12-bore rifles, sub-machine guns (SMG) and a large quantity of ammos were also recovered from the arrested suspects.

The arrested suspects were shifted to police stations for interrogation. The security forces searched at least 45 houses during the search operation. – APP
