Karachi: 6-year-old kidnapped in broad daylight

KARACHI: Police on Wednesday confirmed the kidnapping of a six-year-old child from a posh area of the metropolis.

According to details, six-year-old Abaan, son of Ghufran, was kidnapped near Khayaban-e-Roomi intersection in Defence. The child was reportedly a student of Haque Academy and the kidnapping took place as the mother and child were on their way back from the school.

Speaking to www.samaa.tv, police sources confirmed that the kidnappers also stole the mobile phone of the mother before nabbing her child. The father of the kidnapped child is a spare parts dealer.

The kidnapping took place at 26th street and Roomi intersection, according to an eyewitness.

“Two men wearing khaki jackets and masked faces came out of a white car and stopped a woman,” added the witness.

Police said that they were on the hunt for the kidnappers in order to recover the kidnapped child.
