Private schools to remain closed in Karachi, Punjab

KARACHI: In the wake of tension and uncertainty in Karachi due protest demonstrations, the Private Schools Association has announced to close schools on Monday, Samaa reported Sunday.

According to our correspondent, both factions of the school association have decided closure of schools in the city for tomorrow.

On the other hand, the Sindh Education Ministry has not so far taken any decision for schools and colleges.

Reports said Sindh Madarsatul Islam University and both city campuses of Federal Urdu University will remain closed, whereas the Karachi University will continue its education activities as usual.

In Punjab, all public and private schools, colleges and universities will remain closed for two days from Monday due to law and order situation. Islamabad Private Schools Association has also announced to close schools on Monday. – Samaa
