ISLAMABAD: Former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Wednesday complained of double standards in carrying out trial for him and other political leaders.

“We are facing courts but Imran Khan is roaming around freely despite being a proclaimed offender,” he said while talking to media in an informal discussion in front of Accountability Court.

Nawaz Sharif said efforts are being made to improve justice system in the country and ‘our struggle will continue till achievement of this goal.’

He said the decision against him (Nawaz Sharif) was pre-meditated and language used in it was like the language that political opponents use against each other. “The same is happening now as it had happened in the plane hijacking case.”

He said he was wielding his constitutional right to seek justice and hope that trial would be fair. – APP
