Pillion riding to be banned on Muharram 9,10

LAHORE: Commissioner Lahore Abdullah Khan Sunbal on Saturday said that pillion riding would be banned on Muharram 9 and 10 in the provincial capital as part of security measures for Muharram processions and gatherings.

He said that an application has also been sent to suspend the cellular service at the routes of central procession and gatherings.

The commissioner said that Section 144 has been imposed in the city to avoid any untoward incident, whereas use of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) including drone cameras have also been banned. – APP
