ISLAMABAD: Meteorological Department forecast showers across the country saying pre-monsoonal downpours is expected to begin from today.
According to Met Office, the pre-monsoonal spell will begin from today in the entire country. The weather in the Upper Areas has turned pleasant.
The Met Office predicted showers with the gale-force winds in different cities including Multan, Faisalabad, Lahore, Islamabad, Peshawar and Muzaffarabad.
Rain/dust-thundershower with gusty winds is expected at scattered places in Rawalpindi, Lahore, Gujranwala, Sargodha, D.G. Khan, Multan, Faisalabad, D.I khan, Malakand, Hazara, Peshawar, Mardan, Kohat divisions, FATA, Islamabad, Gilgit-Baltistan & Kashmir.
Sindh’s coastal areas are likely to receive light rain /drizzle with thunder and lightning. Meantime, the skies in Gilgit, Chitral, Murree, Skardu and Dir are expected to remain overcast today.
Karachi is also likely to remain partially cloudy today with mercury to hang around 35 degrees; however, 61 percent humidity will afford the heat an increased feel.
Quetta is expected to remain sunny and dry today.
Temperature of some major cities recorded on Monday morning was:-
Islamabad twenty-six degree centigrade, Karachi and Lahore thirty, Peshawar thirty-one, Quetta twenty-four, Gilgit and Murree eighteen and Muzaffarabad twenty-two degree centigrade. –SAMAA
