ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) spokesman Fawad Chaudhry has announced that a reference will be filed against NAB’s Chairman Qamar Zaman Chaudhry for his failure to investigate the Panama Leaks.
“The NAB Chairman is in collusion with the government. He cannot be trusted to be part of any investigation involving Panamagate scandal,” Chaudhry told a press conference in Islamabad.
He said that all five judges of the Panama bench unanimously ruled that Nawaz Sharif had lied in the Parliament about his offshore properties.
To a question, he said that the PTI would continue its cooperation with the apex court.
“We have full confidence in Chief Justice and all other judges of the Panama Leaks bench,” he said.
Chaudhry said that sweets were distributed yesterday after the Panama verdict. PML-N leaders did not even bother to read the verdict,” he added. - SAMAA
