ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan Tuesday said Mashal Khan was murdered under conspiracy over false allegation of blasphemy.
Imran Khan today reached the residence of Mashal Khan located in Swabi to offer condolences to his family over the demise of their son in a deplorable incident of lynching. The PTI leader expressed grief over the brutal assassination of student of Abdul Wali Khan University.
“We will go overboard for investigations into Mashal Khan. The student was killed under a plot and a false allegation of blasphemy was leveled against him,” he added.
Imran Khan said the investigations proved that Mashal Khan did not commit any blasphemy, adding, “We will make this case an example as the people involved in the planned murder are being arrested.”
Prior to the suo notice by Supreme Court of Pakistan, Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Pervez Khattak had ordered judicial inquiry, he said.
Imran Khan remarked the people involved in the crime will not be spared until they are penalized to ensure that such an incident may not happen again. –SAMAA
