A look at Supreme Court judges who heard Panamagate case

ISLAMABAD: A five-judge Supreme Court bench is to announce the much-awaited verdict in a landmark Panama Leaks case on Thursday.

Whatever the decision may be, it is likely to have far-reaching implications on the slippery political landscape of Pakistan.

Justice Asif Saeed Khosa heads the larger bench of the apex court.

Justice Asif Saeed Khosa, Justice Ejaz Afzal, Justice Gulzar Ahmed, Justice Sheikh Azmat Saeed and Justice Ijazul Ahsan heard Panamagate case.

Justice Asif Khosa is from DG Khan. He got first position in BA at GC Tripos and LLM both from Queens’ College, Cambridge. He was elevated to Supreme Court in 2010.

Justice Sheikh Azmat Saeed was born in Rawalpindi, attended St Mary’s, served on board of NCA and elevated to the Supreme Court in 2012.

Justice Gulzar Ahmad is from Karachi – served on Board of Governor of NED and AKU. He was elevated to Supreme Court in 2011.

Justice Ijazul Ahsan was born in Murree, studied at FC College, Lahore & obtained an LLM from Cornell University – elevated to Supreme Court in 2016.

Justice Ejaz Afzal Khan was born in Mansehra. He studied at Khyber Law College. He was elevated to Supreme Court in 2011. – SAMAA
