DERA ISMAIL KHAN: Unidentified gunmen shot and killed four policemen in Dera Ismail Khan district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Thursday, SAMAA reported.

According to police, a mobile team of Dera Town police station was refilling their van at a filling station at Mission More when unidentified persons opened fire and fled after killing four policemen including Assistant Sub Inspector (ASI) Rehmatullah, two constables-Numan, Rashid and driver Irshad.

Police reinforcement reached the incident place and shifted the injured policeman to hospital.

The police also cordoned off the exit and entry points of the area and started search to arrest the perpetrators.

This comes hours after a suicide bomber ripped through a crowded Sufi shrine in Sehwan Sharif, killing at least 72 people and leaving over 250 injured.

In a separate attack, three troops, including Captain Taha, were killed when their convoy was attacked by terrorists in Awaran district of Balochistan.  - SAMAA
