LAHORE: Intense fire that broke out in a building in Lahore killed at least seven people, injuring eight others on Wednesday.
The flames erupted at an office of a local construction company in Mehmood Booti area.
Several workers were trapped inside as the fire engulfed the building within no time.
Officials of Rescue 1122 service rushed to the scene to extinguish the flames with a couple of fire tenders.
However, seven persons died of suffocation and burn injuries while eight others were wounded. They were shifted to different hospitals.
The cause of the fire remained unknown. - Samaa
