Armed forces, nation sacrificed a lot to restore stability: COAS

RAWALPINDI: General Qamar Javed Bajwa, Chief of Army Staff (COAS), who is on a day long official visit to Quetta, addressed officers of Southern Command.

According to a press release issued by Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR), General Bajwa address was focused on professional matters under evolving security environment.

He shared thoughts on security environment and challenges.

The COAS said armed forces and nation have sacrificed a lot to bring back stability across the country.

“Army has come up to expectations of people of Pakistan.  Operation Zarb-e-Azb has brought considerable improvement in internal security environment. It’s consolidation and retention is a challenge but we shall do it at all costs,” he said.

The COAS said that Global Geo-political and Geo-economic environment are evolving. “Our region is in focus,” he added.

CPEC has changed the dynamics and it is critical to our economic progress and stability. “We shall do it at all costs. He said imbibed with spirit of sacrifice and valour our officers and men are best in the world. Pakistan Armed forces are fully capable and prepared to respond to full spectrum threat.” –Samaa
