Cellular service suspended as part of Chehlum security

KARACHI: Cellular service has been suspended in different cities including Karachi and Peshawar as part of security arrangements on Chehlum of Hazrat Imam Hussain (R.A.) today (Monday).

The mobile phone service has been suspended in Peshawar among other cities and will remain so till 8pm today.

Meantime, pillion riding has already been banned in different cities in order to avert any sabotage activities on mourning processions and majalis being organized in connection with Chehlum.

Meantime, Karachi traffic police has mapped out a traffic plan for convenience of commuters looking for clear routes around the mega city. –SAMAA
