Quetta attack strongly condemned

QUETTA: Around 60 law enforcement personnel were martyred and about 120 others injured in a terrorist attack on Police Training Centre in Quetta last night.

President Mamnoon Hussain and Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif have strongly condemned the terrorist attack.

The President directed the authorities concerned to ensure provision of best medical care to the injured.

The Prime Minister directed the federal and provincial authorities to bring the perpetrators to task as soon as possible.


PTI chairman Imran Khan also condemned the attack.

“Strongly condemn cowardly terror attack on police training centre in Quetta. May Allah keep hostages safe. Prayers for recovery of injured,” he said on Twitter.

The United States has also condemned the attack on police training center in Quetta.

State Department spokesperson John Kirby said his country stands with Pakistan in this critical hour. He extended condolences to the relatives of dead and expressed sympathies with the injured.

Governor Punjab Malik Muhammad Rafique Rajwana, Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif and Information Minister Pervez Rashid have also denounced the Quetta attack.

In his message, they said those sacrificing their lives for the country is our heroes.

They said those perpetrating such acts are enemies of peace and stability. He said Pakistani nation is united to foil the sordid designs of the enemies. - Samaa/APP
