Musharraf may lead new alliance: Shahzad

LONDON: Senior MQM leader Saleem Shahzad predicted former President Gen. (retd) Pervaiz Musharraf may lead a new political alliance, Samaa reported.

Talking to Samaa in a telephonic conversation from London, the MQM representative Shahzad said that Musharraf may play a role in leading a new political alliance involving MQM.

Hinting at its creation, he further stated that people may see the evolution of a new alliance within a month or two.

He further revealed that the alliance will constitute Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM Pakistan), Mustafa Kamal’s Pak Sar-zameen Party (PSP)  and the Pakistan Muslim League, all coming together on a single platform.

Shahzad also expressed the wish to see the three parties working together for Pakistan, and specifically Karachi. –SAMAA
