German NGO’s Pakistani chief goes missing in Quetta

Staff Report QUETTA: A Pakistani affiliated with a German NGO went missing here on Friday, SAMAA reports.
Noor Muhammad, who is working as Program Director for Germany-based charity Partner Aid International, left his home for office, as usual, this morning but he did not reach his destination. The car he was traveling in was found abandoned near Railways Housing Colony.
Muhammad hails from Hazara community of Quetta, which has been a target of deadly attacks in recent months.
It is feared that the NGO official has been kidnapped but the police isn’t ready to treat it as a kidnapping case. Three weeks ago, Dr. Munaf Tareen, a heart specialist, was also kidnapped from Quetta. The police have no clue about his whereabouts. Kidnapping of professionals especially doctors, lawyers, educationists etc is common in Quetta. – SAMAA
