Army hands back control to civil administration
The biggest news out of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa this week was about Swat.
On Tuesday, October 23, the Pakistan Army handed back control of Swat to the civil administration after defeating terrorists. This story began in 2007 when the Taliban emerged to try to impose Sharia rule in the area. It has taken 11 long years to restore peace. SAMAA Digital takes a look at this major development.
