Imran Ahmad, the man behind Izzee took the inspiration of his continental restaurant from an American Italian chain in England. After running a successful coffee shop in England and working at Ambala for many years he finally decided to open a place of his own.
After years of his experience and long term planning, Imran finally came up with place. Although it’s just been twenty-five days since this new restaurant opened but its successful launch party and special discount deals and vouchers have made this place the talk of the town. The response of the customers so far has been quite positive.
Izzee is located at the prime location of the vicinity, in khadda market, right next to Meat one’s lane. This lane is very busy though and parking is mostly occupied but that shouldn’t be a problem because Izzee has arranged a proper valet service for their customers.
The arrangement and interior of the place is quite cozy and seats are upholstered in white leather. They have a small but spacious seating arrangement so that the customers can enjoy their privacy on their tables.
It’s a double story restaurant, the main floor and a basement, which accommodates sixty to 70 persons altogether. Their basement is also available for corporate and other events, with a choice keeping buffet or ala carte of their selected items on the menu. So events like small birthday parties, Hi-tea, committee parties, school events, etc. can be arranged here at a nominal price and quality space.
Presently, Izzee is opened for lunch and dinner only but they’re planning to incorporate breakfast in their schedule as well. Since Ramzan is round the corner they are also planning to launch Ramzan buffet with the range of their best selected items on the menu.
Talking about selected items, the best items on their menu are dynamite prawns, panini and peri peri chicken. The highlight of the menu are panini’s because the recipe is inspired from a place in England. Their panini’s are exclusive and prepared in the style and the ingredients which you have never tasted before in Karachi. They prepare it in their special Italian bread and very fresh ingredients. The other item many people on their Facebook page are suggesting is their Peri Peri chicken prepared in Mexican style which is absolutely nothing identical or comparable to the Portuguese style Peri Peri chicken at Nandos. Other than the mentioned items Izzee has a wide range of menu that inclues other cuisines like Chinese, Italian and fast food.
In future Izzee plans to expand their branches in Gulshan and Nazimabad. Overall it seemed like a decent place to visit with family and friends for a reasonable dinner in a semi-formal environment.
