Like many previous years 2015 is bidding farewell to us leaving bundle of memories in its golden chest. Well, all of us would agree on the note that this year managed its best to make it to the headlines. Thus it was really a newsmaker!
The last 12 months comprised of all highs lows, ups and downs particularly in every walk of life. Every happening marked a difference in lives of many.
Revising all of them, here is a quick review of the well- spent 2015.
Chronology of International Events
Society & People:
7th Januray- Two armed brothers opened fire into the office of a French magazine “Charlie Hebdo” killing sum of 11 people.
2nd May- Duke and Duchess of Cambridge were blessed with a baby girl whom they named Princess Charlotte.
22nd May- Same-sex marriage ill was passed and accepted in majority parts of European countries.
12th August- Shooting in Boston and Cambridge claimed lives of many.
13th November- Friday the 13th became real unlucky for them when gunmen and suicide bombers entered a concert hall, stadium and restaurant leaving hundreds dead.
3rd December-Britain carried its first ever airstrike in Syrian oilfields located in the eastern Syrian desert.
11th September- A crawler crane toppled over onto the Masjid ul Haram, The Grand Masjid in Mecca. As much as 111 people were martyred and 394 injured in the incident.
24th September- Another casualty took place days after Mecca crane crash. During the Hajj ritual at Mina a crowd collapse caused the death of at least 2,236 pilgrims.
14th February- The 11th edition of Cricket World Cup was held which continued till March 29th. The event was jointly hosted by New Zealand and Australia.
18th September- The 8th edition of Rugby World Cup was hosted by England. The tournament took place in thirteen venues while twenty teams competed with each other.
26th February- The US Federal Communications Commission voted to regulate broadband internet service as a public utility.
9th September- iPhone6s launched which surged the majority sales globally while iPadPro was next in the pipeline.
April- Smart Watches ruled the tech world in this month. Motorola watch took the lead while Apple was in the following.

26th October- Deaf and mute girl Geeta returns home after spending thirteen years of solitude.
30th October- PTI Chairman Imran Khan got separated from his 2nd wife Reham Khan.
2nd December- Four militants involved in deadly Peshawar attack were sent to the gallows.
12th October- Hindu extremists of Shiv Sena disturbed Khursheed Kasuri’s planned book launch by dousing black ink over the organizer.
4th December- Pakistan drafted petition for return of the Kohinoor Diamond from Britain.
2nd December- Afghan Taliban leader, Mullah Mansoor severely injured and later died in a shootout in Pakistan.
20th June- Weather took a nasty turn when extreme heatwave hit Karachi and other parts of the country taking lives of thousands.
26th October- A 7.5 magnitude earthquake hit Pakistan shaking major northern parts particularly northern areas. The death toll increased upto 200 and above across Pakistan.
21st September- A professional T20 Cricket league of Pakistan named Pakistan Super League PSL was officially launched.
19th October- Cricket talk fiasco was created by Hindu extremists when they attacked Indian cricket board.
12th November-Umar Akmal controversy sparked when he was recovered from brothel house.
3rd December- Government threw the bomb of Rs. 40 billion additional tax measures.
31st October- Petrol prices hiked by Rs. 2.5 liter.

After all the rage, what became the reason of a good laugh for public were the memes made on Komal’s controversial selfie.

2015 had been a lucky year for Pakistani film industry as we have seen a visible surge in the genre which had come to halt immediately after 2003. The popular flick which provided us bunch of good laughter kicks while some were a serious dose of thoughtfulness, action, thrill and entertainment.
