Handwashing Day celebrates globally to promote washing hands with soap, and to teach everybody about the significance of hand cleanliness.

Children should learn about complete hand hygiene today as part of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s observance of the eighth annual Global Handwashing Day on October 15.  Students in schools and colleges take part in handwashing activities organized by Health Departments.
