PAK-INDO STORY: An Endless Hostility

Indian hatred towards Pakistan is nothing but an old still open chapter. Gut- wrenching and acutely distressing stories of Indian abhorrence and revulsion towards the Muslims and Pakistanis has always been a flaming topic of debate.

Their bitterness is quite evident and out loud and visible to the world. The wounds of the War of 1947 have not healed for them just yet. They seem to never let go of a chance to deflate Pakistanis. Their double standards have always puzzled us. It almost appears to be a struggle for them to open their hearts and warmth for their neighboring country. Even when they try to show endearment and positivity towards Pakistanis that also seems to be nothing but a big dupe. The cricket matches between the two countries is the best example one can get where a sporting ground turns into a battle field within minutes. Over the years both the countries have stepped up to maintain cordial relations with each other at numerous occasions. Many of our prodigies   have  also paved a platform for themselves in India trying to make a difference but the difference between the two counterparts will always remain.

Let’s just piece up the above discussion to the recent rant and rave statement made by Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan of him losing faith in Pakistan as his upcoming flick Phantom received a red flag from concerned Pakistani authorities. His single comment was enough to fuel up the Pakistani sentiments; undoubtedly the comment was rave and harsh. Their reaction on the social media in Pakistan was swarmed with statements which made it very obvious that Pakistanis are just not up for these sorts of comments.

Venerable celebrities like Shaan and Hamza Ali Abbasi kicked off their notches as well by blowing off the comment with their reaction on social media. Now what’s interesting here is the fact that at one point notable Pakistani celebrities such as Fawad Khan, Ali Zafar, Atif Aslam, Mahira Khan, Mawra Hoccane are making waves in India breaking barriers between the two nations and on the other hand comments like these are building up new rifts for both the countries.

After seeing our Pakistani celebrities excelling in the Bollywood industry it sure triggers hope of cordiality between the two but it’s merely an illusion. The two can never be one with all that negativity let’s not forget to praise the Bollywood Industry for opening corridors for our concrete talent. But the other side of the coin displays s their double standards leaving us disgusted. Their exuberant affection towards our nation is more of a practical joke. How dark hearted they can be they for sure keep on reminding us from time to time that cordial relations is just a dream.

I was immensely impressed by the kind gesture from renowned Bollywood actors such as RanbirKapoor and Neetu Singh when they displayed their admiration towards our Pakistani starlet Mawra Hoccane but then comments like these result in double-minded thought and surely does for others as well.

It’s funny how a single comment like this says it all…!
