Players whose parodies are better than themselves

Players whose parodies are better than themselves

Whether you are a cricket fan or not, following the sport during World Cup becomes compulsory for all Pakistanis. This World Cup has been particularly harsh for fans of green shirts. The only reason I haven’t smashed anything in frustration after watching the horrendous performance of our players so far is Nasir Jamshed. And Misbah-ul-Haq. Oh and Sohail Khan. Shahid Afridi is on the list as well. It’s not the players that make me smile throughout the match and after it, it’s their parody accounts created by geniuses I’d love to meet.

Here are 5 cricketers’ parody accounts I came across on Twitter that make watching Pakistan playing a lot less agonizing:

Sohail Khan: I stumbled upon this one recently. Though it’s not that frequent, it still makes you chuckle.

Shahid Afridi: As much as he sucks on field (oh yes I said it) his parody account is hilarious.

Mohammad Yousuf: Though he is humorous most of the times, you can see the frustration when things get too bad.

Misbah-ul-Haq: The captain’s unheard thoughts. The signature ‘sigh’ sums up his feelings pretty accurately.

Nasir Jamshed: This one wins hands down. It’s Jamshed speaking our hearts. And no matter how mad you are at Nasir (the real, clumsy, sloppy one on field) you cannot help but laugh out loud while going through his tweets.

It's pretty impressive how humor oozes from Pakistanis in times of loss and frustration. Though I hope we don't have to go through agony any further, I do look forward to reading more hilarious tweets on these accounts. Laughter, truly does make everything easier.
