The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) predicted Monday rain in Lahore in the next 12 hours. The prediction comes hours after the city was hit by a sandstorm. The PMD said that the rain will be followed by heavy winds. At least 50 people were killed in rain-related incidents in Pakistan last year. Of them, eight had died in Punjab alone. In Pakistan, monsoon season starts in July and continues till September.
