Muttahida Majlis-e-Amal’s member of the National Assembly from Kurram, Munir Khan Orakzai, passed away on Tuesday after a heart attack.

In April, Orakzai was diagnosed with the novel coronavirus. He was admitted at the Hayatabad Medical Complex where he was put on a ventilator. The politician, however, had defeated the virus.

He also attended the last session of the National Assembly where he had fainted and was shifted to a hospital.

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Mahmood Khan has expressed grief over the news and offered condolences to Orakzai’s family.
