Public transport in Karachi and other parts of Sindh will resume from today. Only 50% of the total capacity of the bus will be allowed to travel. For online taxi services, only two people will be allowed in a car. Wearing masks and using hand sanitiser has been made compulsory for both travelers and drivers. Failure to follow the SOPs will lead to strict action.
The Lahore High Court will hear Opposition Leader Shehbaz Sharif’s plea for pre-arrest bail in the cases against him. NAB had received a letter from him on Tuesday stating that he could not appear before it due to fears of contracting the coronavirus. Shehbaz said he is a cancer patient and aged 69 years.
Sindh minister Murtaza Baloch’s funeral prayers were offered yesterday. They were attended by a huge number of members of the PPP. No one followed the coronavirus SOPs during the funeral. No one wore masks or observed social distancing.
A man in Karachi’s Line Area was killed Tuesday night over an inheritance conflict. He was murdered by his younger brother. The police have registered a case and arrested the suspect.
Six thieves were arrested in Faisalabad during a police raid. Weapons and stolen items were confiscated from them.
In a targeted operation Tuesday night, five wanted criminals and 20 other suspects were arrested in Pindi Bhattian. The police seized drugs and weapons from them.
Seven children were killed and 13 injured after the roof of a madrassa collapsed in North Waziristan. The bodies and injured have been shifted to a hospital.
