Five people drown in Indus River near Thatta

Three women and two children drowned after falling into the River Indus near Thatta on Saturday.

Their bodies have been retrieved.

The police said that the women were washing clothes when the two children slipped into the river. The women dived in to save them but none of them survived.

The women belonged to the same family.
