The Muzaffargarh police impounded on Tuesday a trailer carrying smuggled clothes, tires, betel nuts and cigarettes.

Two men who were present in the vehicle were also taken into custody.

The police say the trailer was heading to Multan from the Pakistan-Afghanistan Chaman border.

Officials of the Pakistan Customs were called up and an investigation has been launched into the matter.
