Those who thought of the Sindh divisions, were left divided themselves, said Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah.
He was speaking at the Sindh Assembly session on Monday. His remarks angered the MQM-P MPAs who started protesting.
Speaker Agha Siraj Durrani warned the MQM-P members. “You are disturbing the House,” he said and asked them to calm down.
“I have seen people, who thought of dividing Sindh, get divided themselves,” the chief minister said. “MQM people have even changed their leader.”
Zulfikar Ali Bhutto was our leader and will always remain so, he maintained.
MQM-P has demanded over the years the division of Sindh on an administrative basis. Its demand was met with strong resistance from PPP and other political parties based in Sindh.
