Prime Minister Imran Khan arrived in Iran for a two-day official trip on Sunday.
He will be meeting Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei and President Hassan Rouhani during his visit. He is expected to discuss the challenges being faced by the Muslim community and the end of terrorism.
The premier arrived in Mashhad for a brief stop-over before travelling to Tehran. He held a meeting with Ali Reza Razm Hussaini, the governor general of Khorasan-e-Razavi province.
He will also address the Iranian business community. This is his first trip to Iran since taking office. He is scheduled to return to Pakistan at 11pm on Monday.
Before leaving the country, however, the premier is scheduled to meet the Hazara community in Quetta.
