Massive blaze at Faisalabad cotton factory doused after four hours

A massive fire at a cotton factory warehouse in Faisalabad was doused after four hours on Monday. The factory caught fire around 8am due to a short-circuit.

The blaze was doused completely around noon. The fire brigade battled the flames for four hours with four fire tenders.

According to rescue officials, the factory workers first tried to extinguish the flames themselves.

Cotton worth Rs2.5 million was burnt in the fire. Though residents of the area were panicked by the flames and plumes of smoke, no casualties were reported in the incident.
