A transgender person was attacked in Peshawar’s Nothia on Tuesday.

Two members of the transgender community who lived in Shabqadar, Adnan and Kamran, were on their way to work in Dabgari when two men on a motorcycle opened fire at them.

Kamran was unhurt but Adnan was shot in the attack.

The police arrived at the scene and took Adnan to Lady Reading Hospital. Doctors said that Adnan was shot in the back but is now out of danger.

Another bullet narrowly missed Adnan’s head, according to the doctors.

The police haven’t lodged a case yet, nor have they made any arrests.

Trans Action Pakistan claimed that doctors at the hospital started treating on Adnan three hours after they were brought to the medical facility.
