Six people have been killed and six injured in roof collapses because of the rain in Charsadda and Bajaur on Thursday.
A girl and her parents were crushed to death when the roof of their house in Charsadda collapsed during rain. Her three siblings survived the incident, but sustained injuries.
Another family of six fell victim to a roof collapse in Bajaur. Three members of the family were killed and three injured.
Earlier today, the National Disaster Management Authority reported that 64 people have been killed and 174 injured across the country in the recent spell of rain. It said 117 houses have been damaged. Of the 64 deceased, at least 29 were from Balochistan.
Several areas in Rajanpur are flooded and people are being evacuated via boat. Two people were injured after an electric pole fell in Mianwali after a storm. Two people were killed and six injured when a roof collapsed in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Karak. Another person was killed in Jata Ismail Khel after gypsum rocks fell on a house.
A flood alert has also been issued in Charsadda.
