Private schools in Karachi are selling Rs40 notebooks for Rs140

Some private schools in Karachi have set up stalls where notebooks are being sold for Rs140. The same notebooks are available in the market for Rs40.

The only difference is the ones in the market are without the school logo.

Parents are worried. They say the same ‘copies’ are available at Urdu Bazaar, but the schools have made it compulsory for students to purchase the notebooks from them.

“We are poor. Where should we go? How many policies [of private schools] should we accept?” asked a father.

Education Minister Sardar Ali Shah says parents should send their children to government schools to avoid such problems.

Hahahaha what a joke. The education minister is asking parents to send their children in a government school when his own children are going to one of the most expensive private school in the country.
First go and make the standard of the government school worthy enough for parents to send their children. They don’t want their children to learn slangs instead of knowledge.
If our education minister trusts our government schooling system this much why doesn’t he send his own children there? Why not any politician?
Corruption is in our education system as well. These people take money from these private schools and let them run free do whatever they want.
To our respected education minister Sardar Ali Shah,
Raise the standards of our country’s education system please otherwise there won’t be much of a Pakistan left in a few years for you to fill your pockets from or do more corruption.
