Operation completed after 16 hours

Security forces have shot dead five suspected terrorists in an operation in Peshawar's Hayatabad. The operation started on Monday night and finished Tuesday afternoon after 16 hours.

A policeman was shot dead in the exchange of fire too. Two people have been injured.

The operation was carried out after the security agencies were informed that terror suspects have been hiding in a house in Hayatabad. KP Information Minister Shaukat Ali Yousafzai said that they were tipped off about the presence of terror suspects in the area. The suspects have been accused of attacking judges and AIG.

He said that the operation has been completed. "There was explosive material in the house. The bomb disposal squad is neutralising it," he remarked while speaking to SAMAA TV.

I won’t go as far as calling media stupid. We should always be very careful using our opinion on public forum.

Showing what’s happening on live stream is a real bad idea…. they wouldn’t need any cameras….. our media did their work in a very befitting manner…. kindly don’t make videos of our security agencies….let it be a secretive task…. thanks

Indeed the media should have a bunch of learned people in their ranks to let these guide what to air and what not to. They sometime act in haste to take the lead to be first to aur any happening. No matter how secretive anything is. They should be reined for betterness
