Pervez Khattak’s brother takes oath as a Khyber Pakhtunkhwa minister

The oath was administered on Monday by the governor

Defence Minister Pervez Khattak’s younger brother Liaquat Khattak was sworn as a provincial minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Monday.

Liaquat was administered the oath by Governor Shah Farman.

The ceremony was attended by Minister Pervez Khattak, Federal Minister for Religious Affairs Noorul Haq Qadri, Chief Minister Mahmood Khan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly Speaker Mushtaq Ghani and other members of the provincial assembly.

Liaquat, who is the former district nazim of Nowshera, was elected to the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly in a by-election in October 2018.

He won the PK-64 Nowshera seat vacated by his brother. Pervez retained his National Assembly seat to become the defence minister in the federal cabinet.
