Pakistan’s accountability bureau has cancelled the summons of the wife and daughters of PML-N leader Shehbaz Sharif.
Nusrat Shehbaz and her daughters, Rabia Imran and Javeria Ali, are being investigated for their alleged involvement in a money laundering case.
The notices were cancelled on the orders of NAB chairperson Justice (retd) Javed Iqbal. He visited NAB’s Lahore office on Monday.
NAB has decided to send Shehbaz’s family members separate questionnaires instead of asking them to come to its office.
They were sent the summons on Saturday. Nusrat was asked to appear before NAB on April 17, while Rabia and Javeria were asked to come on April 18 and 19 respectively.
The progress of the cases against the Sharif family is being monitored by NAB’s chairperson.
