A man allegedly killed his wife for honour on Friday in Ghokti’s village Adilpur.

The suspect identified as Sanaullah buried her in the courtyard near his house. The accused managed to flee the scene after the murder.

“Sanaullah informed the family himself that he had buried her after slitting her throat,” said the victim’s sister.

However, according to the police, her brother claims that Sanaullah had killed his sister after he accused her of damaging the honour of the family.

Police have shifted the body to the hospital for post-mortem. An FIR has also been registered and a search is underway.
