The CTD has arrested six suspected target killers, including a policeman, in Karachi.
CTD DIG Abdullah Sheikh spoke to the media on Monday and announced that the suspects would flee to a neighbouring country after the murders.
So far, we have information about 50 murders committed by this group, he said, adding that they had been operating since 2003.
A JIT is being formed to continue the investigation, said the police officer.
He said Haider, alias Bacha, the leader of the group, had also been arrested. Haider Abbas was posted at the police headquarters in Garden.
So far, the police has 31 cases ready, he said, adding that they now have information about further attacks. We also seized weapons from their possession, said DIG Sheikh.
He announced that they have made some progress in the Mufti Taqi Usmani attack case and are working on it.
