A Karachi-based organisation has been helping people with visual impairment find their perfect match.

Amigos Welfare Trust for the Blind Persons has set up a marriage bureau just for this reason.

“The bureau has been making efforts to help the people who can’t see,” said its representative Anwar SAMAA TV’s morning show, Naya Din.

We bear all the expenditures of the wedding too, he said.

Not just marriage, but the organisation has been working to teach different skills to people with visual impairment.

“The endless efforts of our parents and our teachers have enabled to start solving our own problems,” said co-founder Bilal Patel.

We have women members too who excel at making handicrafts, he said. “We have set up many computer institutes for the blind people too.”
