Karachi men confess to using rented weapons for robbery: police

Police arrested on Wednesday two suspected street criminals who were looting people using rented weapons in Karachi’s Korangi. 

The men, who have been identified as Jaffar Jameel and Sadiq alias Dada, told the police that they used rented weapons for Rs3,000 to Rs5,000 from a man named Ilyas. They said that they robbed three people every day.

The police said that they were members of a gang which has reportedly robbed more than a 100 people.

One suspect even confessed to killing five people during robberies, according to the police.

The men were arrested after an exchange of fire with the police.
