April 7, 2019

Interpol has turned down Pakistan’s appeal to issue a red warrant for the arrest and extradition of Hussain Nawaz, former prime minister Nawaz Sharif’s son.

According to Interpol, the red warrant cannot be issued because of insufficient evidence.

The appeal had been submitted to Interpol’s headquarters in France. Nawaz Sharif, his daughter Maryam Nawaz, Captain Safdar were also mentioned in the appeal document.

Around eight months ago, the FIA had contacted Interpol to bring back Nawaz Sharif’s sons, Hassan and Hussain, to Pakistan.

The agency wrote a letter to Interpol after receiving the go ahead from the interior ministry.

Hassan and Hussain are wanted in the Avenfield and other references.

The interior ministry had earlier given the FIA permission to issue red warrants for the brothers’ arrest. The FIA had been given written instructions to contact Interpol to bring Hassan and Hussain back to Pakistan.

They had been declared proclaimed offenders and warrants had been issued for their arrest. NAB Chairperson Justice (retd) Javed Iqbal had also given the green light to contact Interpol to bring the brothers back to Pakistan.

After making FIA wait for eight months and then refusing to issue warrants against declared offenders, this calls for two things:
    1. A one-on-one meeting with Interpol officials.
    2. and a stricter implementation of the ECL.

The problem is that USA, EUROPE, UK especially dont want to lose the billions stashed in thrift countries. Especially about Pakistan the world comity is two Faced and despicable hypocrotic. In their counties a minister is jailed for traffic violation, but criminals declared absvonders are like Prince Charles for them. France has been involved in corruption at highest level e.g. Sarkozi with Zardari n lodhi. So as long as Law suits their strategic aims they will not be honest to Pskistan. None of them want to see a,solvent n truly democratic nation. Malice is their DNA. But India is treated at different level and their white collar criminals are expatriates.
