Govt allocates Rs26b for relief and rehab of merged districts

The government has allocated Rs26 billion to the merged districts to facilitate relief, rehab and settlement of the people in the districts, which was previously known as FATA.

This was confirmed in a tweet by the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa relief department on Thursday.

The citizen losses compensation programme will be allocated Rs11.8 billion from the total amount while the immediate rehab programme will be given Rs8 billion.

The permanent reconciliation programme through army support will be given Rs3.7 billion and the returnees compensation grant stand at Rs2.7 billion.
