Five suspected car thieves arrested in Rawalpindi

The police arrested on Thursday five members of a gang which allegedly lifted cars in Rawalpindi.

The suspects have been identified as Tahir, Habib, Waqas, Amir and Ahsan.

Waris Khan Police Station’s Investigation Officer Qaiser Mehmood said that the suspects have shot some people during robberies.

“The suspects were wanted by the Rawalpindi and Islamabad police for multiple cases,” he said.

According to the police, cars worth of millions of rupees were sold in Azad Kashmir by the suspects for only Rs 40,000 to Rs 50,000.

The police have also seized their weapons.
