The Pakistan Army have reportedly killed five Indian soldiers in retaliatory fire on Thursday, the ISPR said Friday.
According to the ISPR, the Indian Army resorted to unprovoked firing and targeted civilians in Chirikot sector of the Line of Control.
Six people, including a woman and four children, were injured in the Indian firing. They have been taken to a hospital.
The Pakistan Army “responded effectively” reportedly killing five Indian soldiers and leaving many injured.
Two days ago, seven Indian soldiers were killed and 19 others injured in retaliatory fire by the Pakistan Army, ISPR had said. Several Indian military posts were also destroyed in the response by the Pakistani security forces to Indian firing.
Indian troops resorted to firing on the civilian population in Khuiratta sector of the LoC resulting in the death of an 18-year-old Pakistani citizen and injuries to three women, the statement said.
Earlier the same day, three Pakistani soldiers were martyred after Indian firing along the LoC. Indian forces opened fire in the Rawalakot Sector, killing three soldiers and injuring one other.
The ISPR identified the three martyred soldiers as Subedar Muhammad Riaz. Hawaldar Azizullah and Sepoy Shahid Mansab.
