Drug user digs up infant’s grave for money: Lahore police

A drug user in Lahore dug up the grave of an infant and took the body out on the streets to beg for money, police said Tuesday.

The addict was begging on the streets, claiming that his child has died, the police said.

The infant's family came to know that his was missing from the grave when they went to the graveyard to offer Fateha. “The grave was open and his body was missing,” the infant's uncle told SAMAA TV. “We got anxious and started looking for the body.”

“We thought some animal had taken it but we didn't know that some big animal... a human-like animal had taken it,” he said.

A case has been registered against the suspect in Lahore's Badami Bagh police station. He is a resident of Begum Kot.

“We have registered a case against him,” Sohail Kazmi, a police official, said. “We have launched an investigation and the accused will be brought to justice.”

    This is absolutely insane,the lengths people will go to,to get money.
    Any and all addiction is just wrong.
    The suppliers of drugs, should be given the death penalty..
    No more suppliers no more addicts.
    Support should be provided to addicts,to help them get out of this awful habit. May Allah have mercy on us all. Ameen

    If u want to kill the suppliers, u shud first crack down the pharmaceutical giants who support those suppliers in order to sell pharmaceutical prouducts to the drugs addicts.
